  • Description: There are several openings in the general area of fluid dynamics including vortex dynamics, novel shock/turbulence/two-phase flow simulations, CFD of problems with moving boundaries such as flapping and swimming, molecular dynamic simulations, etc. Besides theoretical and computational work the group has extensive experimental capabilities and background. If desired the projects could involve some experimental part. However, for this cycle the main focus of the positions is in theoretical and computational areas.
  • Restrictions/Constraints: The computational projects require code development or using in-house developed codes. We do not use or need any skills in using commercial codes.
  • Knowledge and skills needed: The candidates should have a strong academic background. Strong fluid dynamics knowledge is expected and past research publications are a plus. For computational projects, expertise in CFD code or algorithm development is highly desired.
