After tallying the competition results and speaking with a student who raised an excellent question about the grading, I have concluded the grading rubric for the project was vaguely worded, and the goal of the project could be interpreted in two ways: (1) bucket the five required balls in the lowest time using the bonus balls to facilitate that goal, or (2) bucket the most balls (i.e. more than five). I wrote the project description with the first goal in mind, but after reviewing it closely, I can understand how the second one could be interpreted as the goal. Consequently, I am posting two results tables, one for each interpretation, and each team’s ranking score is simply the higher of the two.
