Moving the SW Watermark off the Main Page into the Page Border

Some educational versions of SolidWorks print a large watermark across the lower left quadrant of every drawing.  This watermark obscures important information in the drawing, such as dimensions, tolerances or important notes.  Here is a simple method to move the watermark off the main page and conveniently place a smaller copy in the page border.  If you are using a version of SolidWorks that prints the watermark, this procedure is required for every drawing submitted for EML2322L.

1.  If you don't already have one, download and install a free PDF printer like CutePDF.  This takes less than 5 minutes.

2.  Make sure your drawing is complete and ready for printing.

3.  In the File menu select the Print... option; however, instead of printing to a physical printer, select the Adobe PDF print option.

4.  This will create an Adobe pdf file format that contains the resized educational watermark conveniently placed in the page border.

5.  Using Adobe Acrobat, open the pdf file and print to any physical printer.
