Dr. Marianne Francois is an internationally recognized expert in computational fluid dynamics, multiphase and multi-material flow, and the associated numerical methods used to solve problems across a spectrum of fundamental and applied science and national security applications. Marianne’s technical skills and expertise in these topical areas, along with her broader experience in weapons physics, has allowed her to make critical scientific and technical contributions to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and broader Department of Energy (DOE) missions, and has led her into an ascending line of leadership positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). She joined Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2002 after graduating from University of Florida with a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
