Biography:
Linda is originally from Melbourne, Florida and has been living in Gainesville over 23 years. In 1982 she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administrator from the University of Florida with a major in Finance. Moving to Illinois, Linda worked as an Account Executive for Manufacturers Hanover Bank’s Futures Division in Chicago, IL setting up and working with correspondent banks in future assisted software, hedging their cash position in the Futures Market. In 1984 she was employed by Hewitt Associates in Lincolnshire Illinois as a Systems Analyst and then became a System’s Consultant with clients such as McDonald’s Corporation, Helen Curtis, and Salomon Brothers in preparing Benefit Statements for employees, setting up and testing benefit calculations and working with design and production coordinators. After moving to Florida to raise and educate her children, Linda resumed employment at Santa Fe College and started with The University of Florida in 2011. In her 14 years at UF she has worked in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering as an Administrative Assistant, Grant’s Assistant, Research Administrator and in the Fiscal department working on Pcards and travel.
