Biography
Dr. Klepac has over 10 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, ranging from construction inspection to civil design and project management. He obtained a BS in civil engineering from the University of South Alabama in 2021 and a PhD in civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering from the University of Florida in 2025. He then thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail before returning to the University of Florida, where he joined the faculty as an adjunct lecturer teaching Statics. He also serves as an advisor to the Florida Alpha chapter of Tau Beta Pi. His research interests include data-driven approaches to forecasting hurricane impacts to infrastructure in coastal communities. He has worked with interdisciplinary and international teams in this research topic.
