Engineering must be harnessed to address current and future challenges in the healthcare field. The objective of our REU Site is to engage a diverse cohort of undergraduate students in research and curricula focused on healthcare relevant engineering challenges, such as: (i) Engineered and manufactured surfaces and devices, (ii) Engineering advances for medical treatment, and (iii) Materials and process modeling.
