- Funding agency (Optional): DoD, NSF
- Description: Additive manufacturing techniques
developed for creating 3D structures from living cells will be used to
manufacture complex microtissues for applications in drug toxicity
screening and basic biological investigations. These methods and
materials will also be used to create 3D bioreactor environments for the
mass production of living cells to support the biomanufacturing
industry. Additionally, a diversity of soft materials will be 3D
printed for customized medical device applications.
