David D. Boree

Biography

David Boree is a mechanical consultant holding more than three decades worth of experience in engineering and construction. David began his mechanical contractor career as a summer laborer working for W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor, Inc, serving in various capacities before becoming the company’s President in 1997 and CEO in 2018. David recently retired in December 2020 after 38 years of service. David graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Georgia and Arkansas. He is also a Certified Mechanical, Plumbing, Solar and Pollutant Storage Contractor. David is Past President of both the Northeast Florida American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers ASHRAE and the Northeast Florida Engineering Society FES and State Chapter of the National Environmental Balancing Board NEBB, President of Downtown Jacksonville Rotary club and currently on the Nomination Committee.He has served as a Board member of the Northeast Florida Association of General Contractors AGC, PACE Center for Girls, Catholic Charities, Jacksonville University Council, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and the University of North Florida Engineering Advisory Council. David is a past Chairman of the Gator Bowl Sports/Taxslayer Bowl. His current civic involvements include Trustee and/or Board member/Advisory of the University of Florida Mechanical Aerospace Engineering Advisory Council, Boy Scouts of America BSA North Florida Council President. David is a Jacksonville native and has one daughter, Danielle. His hobbies include boating, surf fishing, scalloping, golf, and snow skiing.
