Shawn K. Martin – US Special Operations Command – MacDill AFB

Mr. Martin is the Deputy Program Manager SOF Lethality within Program Executive Office SOF Warrior at US Special Operations Command. Mr. Martin started working for the Department of Defense in 1987 with the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Panama City Detachment (NSWC-PCD) as a mechanical engineer. In 1997 Mr. Martin was assigned as a Navy Engineering Liaison to the Directorate of Science and Technology at USSOCOM.

After graduation from the Naval War College in 2006, Mr. Martin was assigned as the Program Manager of the USSOCOM Small Business Innovation Research program. His next assignment was the Division Chief of the Special Operation Special Technology program which was focused developing, demonstrating, and transitioning technology to the war fighter. In 2010, Mr. Martin was hand selected to be a Plank Owner of the Undersea Systems Office.  He held positions as the Technical Director, Deputy Program Manager, and finally Technical Program Manager. In 2019, Mr. Martin was selected to be the Deputy Program Manager of SOF Lethality where he currently works today.
