About:
Here at Gator Robotics, we specialize in making combat robots (better known as battlebots) for competitions all around the United States. We currently build 1lb, 3lb, 12lb, and 30lb combat robots, allowing us to compete in almost every weight class of combat robots. Members are taught the ins and outs of robotics, starting from the design phase of the engineering design process, to fully creating and competing with their very own battlebot! We gain real-world experience in CAD design, simulation, mechanical engineering, machining, electrical work, and managing their own robots’ progression in competition. We mostly compete at regional competitions in Florida, but robots that are 3lbs and above get the chance to compete at the Norwalk Havoc Robot League in Connecticut.
